John Brown is a regular at The Funny Stop and Hilarities, the winner of Best of Fest at the Cleveland Comedy Festival, a finalist in Loons on the Lake Comedy Festival, and has opened for the legendary George Wallace. From hosting to performing and producing, John is a fixture of the Akron comedy scene and a good friend of Canton Comedy Boom.
John is bringing two of his very talented friends and fellow comedians, Bob McClure and Samantha Archual to the stage with him. These guys always fill the room with laughter and we are excited to have them back on Canton Comedy Boom’s main stage!

Join Canton Comedy Boom on Saturday June 8 for our inaugural Queer Comedy Show!
This hilarious line up of queer comics from all over Ohio will be showcased following the third annual Stark Pride Festival. Queer in Canton has put together an amazing celebration full of music, guest speakers, food and drink vendors, and family-friendly activities. The festival is free to attend and we heartily recommend you check out the Pride Parade!
For decades, stand-up comedy has been a straight man’s domain, but in the last decade or so there has been a boom of openly queer comics taking their spots on stage. This seismic shift has released a mosaic of diverse perspectives and comedy styles and at CCB we are proud to provide a safe, inclusive performance space to showcase queer talent. We have put together a show that embraces the diversity of voices in the queer community and that illustrates the power of comedy to bring people together to tell their stories.
The show will feature: Cam Godfrey, Bob McClure, Monica Hager, Zach Welch, Chloe Jackson, Jo Rou, and a special guest or two!
As always, the Patina gallery and studios will be open for viewing and we encourage you to check out our downtown Canton page for a list of bars, restaurants, and shops within walking distance of the show. The Dad Bod' Comedy Hour
Join Canton Comedy Boom on Saturday June 15 for The Dad Bod Comedy Hour!
This is our inaugural Father’s Day show and will feature a lineup of comics sharing their unique, hilarious perspectives on the roller coaster ride of parenting and being parented. Grab your old man and come down to Patina Arts Centre for a heartfelt Father’s Day event!
This lineup is stacked and will showcase northeast Ohio native, Tim Wolfe. Tim has won numerous comedy competitions, he’s a headlining comic on The Brewery Comedy Tour, and “a staple at comedy clubs within a 50 mile radius of his mom’s house.” Most recently, Tim won the Best Long Joke Award at the 2024 Cleveland Comedy Awards for his material about his father. He is a fantastic storyteller and an exceptional observationist with a dark, but charmingly honest style of comedy.
Cleveland comedian, Will Hopkins will also be showcased. Will is always a crowd favorite on the CCB stage and we are thrilled every time he comes to Canton to perform. Don’t let his charm disarm you, Will is a killer on the stage. From dating advice to drinking advice and “Will-cronyms”, his material always fills the room with laughter.
Local comics, Matt King and Brett Thomas will round out the lineup and Nate Larson will be your host for the evening!
From corny dad jokes and puns to heartfelt and vulnerable stories about our relationships with our fathers, The Dad Bod Comedy hour is the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day. The Females of Comedy are a dynamic troupe of talented comediennes hailing from northeast Ohio. Originally rooted in Canton, this vibrant group has expanded its comedic footprint to include performances in Cleveland, Youngstown, Akron, and Columbus.
Addressing a wide spectrum of topics, their comedy reflects the richness of their collective experiences. From witty observations about work and travel to poignant and ironic moments in motherhood and post-divorce dating, the Females of Comedy illuminate the tragicomedy of life through a distinctly female lens.

Canton Comedy Boom presents Amber Autry at Patina Arts Centre!
Originally from Nashville, Amber Autry is an internationally touring comedian who has been featured on Peacock TV, Drybar Comedy, and Don’t Tell Comedy. Her comedy is high energy, full of well-crafted, relatable stories that make her audience feel like she’s their new best friend. Amber has opened for some incredible comedians, including Whitney Cummings and Fortune Feimster. She also co-hosts the popular podcast, I’m Fine, It’s Fine, where comedians share stories with a trauma therapist.
Amber is in town headlining the Rubber City Comedy Festival and we are honored to host her on Canton Comedy Boom’s mainstage at Patina Arts Centre!
The show will also feature Wills Maxwell, Jr., winner of Port City’s Top Comic in 2019 and founder of the Black Power Rangers Comedy Tour.
Females of Comedy stars Kelly Thewlis and Amanda Elam will be rounding out the show. Both of these women are seasoned comediennes with many years of comedy experience between them.

Canton Comedy Boom Presents: Comedy for Autism Awareness
Join Canton Comedy Boom at Patina Arts Centre on Saturday, April 13th for an evening of heartfelt comedy!
In honor of Autism Awareness Month, each of the comics we’ve booked has a personal connection to autism, whether through lived experience or raising a child on the spectrum. They understand the daily challenges of living with or loving someone with autism, and we hope to spread some of that understanding with humor and honesty.
John Armstrong is one of the fastest rising comedians in Ohio. Flowing with charm and charisma, John covers topics like family, politics, and navigating relationships. He recently won the Performer’s Award and Best Comedian at the 2024 Cleveland Comedy Awards.
Desmond Turner is a Cleveland native and has been performing stand up comedy for nearly a decade, opening for some big acts like Donnell Rawlings and Roy Wood, Jr. His sharp, observational style has left audiences in stitches from coast to coast.
G.W. Nell is high energy, bawdy, and self-deprecating with an uninhibited confidence that makes her a crowd favorite at clubs throughout OH and PA.
These three powerhouses of Ohio comedy will be supported by local comics, Bob Watson, Monica Hager, and Ruben Ryan.
We hope this show sheds light on the diverse experiences and perspectives within the autism community, and fosters greater awareness and understanding.

Canton Comedy Boom is proud to present headliner, Dominic Leonelli on our main stage at Patina Arts Centre!

Originally from Ohio, Dominic is currently a nightly headliner in New York's Times Square, a regular at Caroline’s on Broadway, and recent runner up in New York’s Funniest Contest, where he caught the attention of, and later opened for the late, great Norm MacDonald.
Dominic brings his insecurities, dating disasters, and family drama to the forefront in an act filled with zingers and carefully constructed stories. We are thrilled to host him on our main stage while he tours the region.
The show will also feature one of northeast Ohio’s fastest rising comedians, John Armstrong. His comedy, like his personality, is quick-witted and over-the-top. At CCB, we know that comedy is more than just a stage, a mic, and a two drink minimum. Comedy is an art form, a method of storytelling and human connection. And we believe that everyone’s story is worth telling.
Comedy clubs in particular can be a challenging environment for sober people, and we’ve met many sober and recovering comics who frequently face this challenge. This show will celebrate the recovery path with comics who have turned adversity into comedic gold.
