Join us on Friday, May 8th for a night of hilarious stand-up comedy with headliner, Julian Stern and feature, Bryan Sternik!

Julian is an LA-based comedian whose work has appeared on Comedy Central Digital, FuseTV, McSweeney's, Maxim Magazine. His musings about grindset mindset culture, living with OCD, and depression-eating an entire rotisserie chicken have amassed millions of views online, and–way more importantly–have made a bunch of people laugh in person. 

Julian has won Best of Fest at Big Pine Comedy Festival, and was officially selected for the Laugh After Dark, Laughing Skull, Bergamot, and Hell Yes Festivals. He's on the line-up at this year's Netflix is a Joke Fest. He has debuted two solo shows, Julian Stern Keeps Trying and 100 Julian Sterns Ranked By Hotness Alone, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Bryan is known for his sharp storytelling, quick crowd work & relatable takes on relationships, identity and everyday chaos. Half Puerto Rican and half Polish, Bryan draws from his upbringing & personal misadventures to deliver comedy that feels both honest and unpredictable.

He recently headlined a weekend at Cedar Point’s “Hoots & Hollers” Comedy Club and performs regularly at independent venues across the Midwest. Whether on stage at a comedy club or entertaining unexpected crowds in unconventional spaces, Bryan brings confident energy, authenticity and a perspective that connects with audiences long after the show ends. This month the stars align with "the anchor" of the zodiac signs. Rooted in luxury, unwavering, stubborn, and relatable, these Taurus comics will look good, smell good and tell you exactly how it is.

Featuring: Kee Silly, Jason Moliterno, Lexx Vegas, and Cleveland Comedian of the Year (2025) John Armstrong.

John Armstrong is a comedian, father, and provocateur who has lived in the best and worst neighborhoods in Cleveland. His comedy is much like his personality: quick-witted and over-the-top. John has opened or featured for such legendary acts as John Witherspoon, Dave Attell, Ari Shaffir, Ms. Pat, JB Smoove, and Whitney Cummings. Canton Comedy Boom Presents: Kids Doing Comedy on Sunday, May 17th!

Join us for this in-person comedy extravaganza! This talented group of kids, aged 4-12, will take the stage to deliver stand-up, funny stories, and sketch comedy! We are also excited to announce that Cleveland comedy legend, Bill Squire will be hosting the show.

Thanks to a generous grant from ArtsinStark, we are able to offer workshops, performance showcases, and a Kids Doing Comedy Tour at local senior living facilities to continue for the next year. We couldn't be more grateful, because it will allow us to expand the program beyond what we could do alone. We are so excited to invite experienced theater, improv, and stand-up instructors to share their expertise with the next generation of comedy stars!

This is the eighth time CCB has hosted Kids Doing Comedy, and the kids have been hard at work writing new material and rehearsing new sketches in our workshops. They’re so excited to take the stage again.

Our workshops are offered at no cost to parents thanks to ArtsinStark. There’s no pressure to perform, kids are welcome to attend the workshops without committing to performing on the day of the show. Chloe and Joe MyGosh bring you an evening of stand-up, sketch, and improv that is, in their words  "queer, chaotic, and completely untamed—this comedy has no rules, no guidelines, and zero apologies."

Chloe Jackson is a queer trans woman of color who founded Ohio Queer Talent. She currently runs bi-monthly shows at No Class in Cleveland, and is a regular performer at Canton Comedy Boom, Snowflake Comedy Club, and many other venues throughout Northeast Ohio. You can also catch her sick  breakdancing moves behind Sheetz on Saturday nights.

Rumor has it Joe My Gosh was once a contestant on American Ninja Warrior. Others say they’ve been walking the Earth for over a thousand years, spreading chaos and glitter wherever they go. The truth? Nobody really knows where Joe came from—but what we do know is that they’re a queer icon in the Pittsburgh drag scene. Known for their campy performances, heart-winning humor, and a presence that can only be described as “divine, unhinged excellence,” When asked about their greatest accomplishment, Joe simply said: “Meeting Chloe.” (This bio was absolutely not written by Chloe. Obviously.)

Canton Comedy Boom and Centennial Plaza are teaming up to bring you Kids Doing Comedy at the Plaza, free-of-charge, on Thursday, June 11th! 

Our Kids Doing Comedy program has been growing rapidly this year, and we are so excited to take this next big step and put these talented, pint-sized performers on the big stage!

The show is free-of-charge and 100% family-friendly. This is a great opportunity to enjoy an evening downtown with your loved ones while supporting local business and young talent.

Canton Comedy Boom’s Kids Doing Comedy Program is made possible thanks to a generous grant from ArtsinStark. All of our young performers go through workshops with experienced theater, improv, and stand-up instructors. They’ve been working hard on their jokes and the kids are looking forward to making you laugh!

This talented group of kids, aged 4-12, will take the Centennial Plaza stage at 7pm to deliver stand-up, funny stories, and sketch comedy! We are also excited to announce that Canton’s own local luminary, Lucas Tindell will be hosting the show. 

After our Kids Doing Comedy shows, we always open the stage up in an open mic fashion, where any kid aged 4-12 can come up and tell a joke or two (even if it's just a knock knock joke or read from a joke book.) Our goal has always been to help these kids build confidence and to experience the joy and pride that comes with making an audience laugh.

Jeff Shaw is an accomplished stand-up comedian whose first Dry Bar Comedy special Manly Girly Man has garnered over 10 million views on Facebook and is currently streaming on Peacock and Comedy Dynamics. 

Jeff is a former linguist for the Army, a former staff writer for American Greetings, a former comedy club manager for Carnival Cruise Line, a former humor columnist for Cleveland's SCENE Magazine and Buffalo's Artvoice, and the author of The Fun Dude's Guide to Cruising: A Humorous Handbook for Taking Your First Cruise and Living to Complain About It.

This high-energy show has something for everyone, with sketch comedy performed by Cranberries, Baby! and improv games with The Colleagues. These quick-witted performers create hilarious situational humor and character comedy based on audience suggestions. The show will also feature a new episode of the News Room, where we poke fun at the news!

The show features musical comedy, and stand-up comedy by Justin Palko and John Brown. 

John Brown is a comedian hailing from Akron, Ohio who has been performing all over the Midwest for years. He has a laid back delivery, combining observational humor with story telling and a touch of his herb-induced day dreams. John has won Best of Fest awards at Rubber City Comedy Festival (2024), Cleveland Comedy Festival (2023), and was a finalist at the Loons On The Lake Comedy Festival (2023). He went from his first open mic to headlining at Funny Stop Comedy Club and is a regular Feature/Host at the famous Hilarities in downtown Cleveland. John has opened for comedians such as George Wallace, Zoltan Kazsas, and Brooks Wheelan. This up-and-coming rust belt comedian is one that you don't want to miss and will surely be telling your friends at work about the next day.

The show also features Akron comic Matthew J. Farkas, and Canton’s own Eric Talbert will be your host for the evening.Von Mychael is an up-and-coming comedian who hails from Chester, VA. His work ethic and determination to become a celebrated name in comedy have landed him at the Apollo, where he won 2nd place. Von is a six-time winner of the Funnybone Clash of Comics, and he’s opened for heavyweights in comedy such as Jamie Kennedy and John Witherspoon.

Matthew James Farkas is an Academy-nominated, Akron-based comedian. He's performed in multiple states, showcasing a blue collar degenerative perspective with light witty twists to dark satire. He has been instrumental in the creation of the Rubber City Comedy Festival, and is a writer and co-host for our popular News Room sketch.

Centennial Plaza and Canton Comedy Boom present: Brian Bates, live at Centennial Plaza on Friday, September 25th. 

Join us for an evening of clean stand-up comedy in the heart of downtown Canton’s Arts District!

The show begins at 7pm and is free to the public thanks to Centennial Plaza and the Downtown Canton Partnership. We recommend that you bring your own chair and plan to arrive early to find a good spot. This will be a family-friendly comedy show, though not specifically themed for children. 

Brian Bates is a Nashville based comedian who tours the country performing at comedy clubs, theaters, corporate events, and churches. You may have seen his Dry Bar Comedy specials or heard him as a guest on The Grand Ole Opry. He can also be heard regularly on LaughUSA on SiriusXM radio. From 2020-2026, Brian was also one of the hosts of the Nateland Podcast with Nate Bargatze and now joins fellow comedians Aaron Weber and Dusty Slay as one of the hosts of the Public Figures Podcast, heard by thousands of listeners each week.
