The show will be an Aquarian comedy takeover with a line-up that features all Aquarian comedians! Every month, the stars align for laughter with comedians born under that month's zodiac sign. Each show brings the quirks, chaos, and cosmic clichés of that sign to life.

This Aquarian comedy cast features the innovative, freedom lovin’, progressive humanitarians that want to make you laugh and think! Expect some eccentricities and idealism with these fun loving Water Bearers.

Featuring: Sara Short, Monica Hager, Amy Wyler, Kelly Thewlis, D’Jaay BrownJohnson, Tim Wolfe, and fast-rising star, Leyla Ingalls.

After performing on the hit podcast Kill Tony, Leyla has amassed millions of views on social media and has become a regular at The Attic in Columbus, the Funny Bone in Dayton, and Don’t Tell comedy shows across the Midwest! Leyla brings with her to every city a horrific disease, spreading it like a wildfire, no one is safe. What monstrosity does she possess you ask? A serious case of the giggles. Join Canton Comedy Boom this Valentine’s Day for a night of stand-up comedy with the Females of Comedy in our fourth annual Galentine’s Day Comedy Showcase!

Whether you’re single, coupled up or throupled up this Valentine’s Day, laughter is a universal love language, and the Females of Comedy can’t wait to show some love. We’ve also teamed up with one of our favorite downtown restaurants, the Arcadia Grille, to offer a dinner and show option. It’s perfect for your Valentine’s date night!

The Females of Comedy are a Northeast Ohio-based stand-up troupe of comedians formed in 2022 out of Canton Comedy Boom. They bring together a diverse array of talent with an age span of thirty years and a wealth of humorous anecdotes about life, love, work, and family. 

These charming ladies have filled clubs with raucous laughter with their hilarious and heartfelt takes on life. From work and travel to poignant and ironic moments in motherhood and post-divorce dating, the Females of Comedy illuminate the tragicomedy of life through a distinctly female lens!

Join us on Saturday, February 21st for the Chlo & Joe Show! Chloe and Joe MyGosh bring you an evening of stand-up, sketch, and improv that is, in their words  "queer, chaotic, and completely untamed—this comedy has no rules, no guidelines, and zero apologies."

Chloe Jackson is a queer trans woman of color who founded Ohio Queer Talent. She currently runs bi-monthly shows at No Class in Cleveland, and is a regular performer at Canton Comedy Boom, Snowflake Comedy Club, and many other venues throughout Northeast Ohio. You can also catch her sick  breakdancing moves behind Sheetz on Saturday nights.

Rumor has it Joe My Gosh was once a contestant on American Ninja Warrior. Others say they’ve been walking the Earth for over a thousand years, spreading chaos and glitter wherever they go. The truth? Nobody really knows where Joe came from—but what we do know is that they’re a queer icon in the Pittsburgh drag scene. Known for their campy performances, heart-winning humor, and a presence that can only be described as “divine, unhinged excellence,” When asked about their greatest accomplishment, Joe simply said: “Meeting Chloe.” (This bio was absolutely not written by Chloe. Obviously.)

Canton Comedy Boom Presents: Kids Doing Comedy on Sunday February 22nd!

Join us for this in-person comedy extravaganza! This talented group of kids, aged 4-12, will take the stage to deliver stand-up, funny stories, and sketch comedy! We are also excited to announce that Cleveland’s very own Bill Squire will be stopping by to host the show for us.

Thanks to a generous grant from ArtsinStark, we are able to offer workshops, performance showcases, and a Kids Doing Comedy Tour at local senior living facilities to continue for the next year. We couldn't be more grateful, because it will allow us to expand the program beyond what we could do alone. We are so excited to invite experienced theater, improv, and stand-up instructors to share their expertise with the next generation of comedy stars!

This is the seventh time CCB has hosted Kids Doing Comedy, and the kids have been hard at work writing new material and rehearsing new sketches in our workshops. They’re so excited to take the stage again.

Our workshops are offered at no cost to parents thanks to ArtsinStark. Join us on Saturday, March 28th for our Comedy Variety Show, an exciting mash up of stand-up, sketch, improv  & musical comedy!

This high-energy show has something for everyone, with sketch comedy written by Canton Comedy Boom and improv games with The Colleagues. These quick-witted performers create hilarious situational humor and character comedy based on audience suggestions. The show includes a new episode of the News Room, where we poke fun at the news!

The show also features musical comedy by Zak Collins, and stand-up comedy by Noah Ryan and Daniel P. Myers.

Noah Ryan is a vocal chameleon with over 200 spot-on impressions, turning every show into a one-man parade of voices. From uncanny celebrity mimics to wild original characters, his comedy is a rollercoaster of laughs. Noah has shared the stage with impression legend Frank Caliendo, featured for Chris Higgins, and even wowed audiences on The Today Show Australia.

Daniel P. Myers is, to put it simply, a bit of an outlier. He is one to stroll through the dirt paths in the deeply wooded areas of Ohio writing, collecting his thoughts and ruminating on another strange theory. He has performed at the Funny Stop, Funny Farm, the Hilton Head Comedy Magic Cabaret, the Cleveland Comedy Festival and at Hilarities. But probably his most breathtaking achievement of all, depending on who you ask, is that he might have failed kindergarten.

Join Canton Comedy Boom on Saturday, April 18th for a night of hilarious stand-up comedy with one of Stark County’s fastest-rising stars!

Marcus Martin is a two-time Ohio Comedian of the Year (Ohio Entertainment Awards) whose real, raw, and hilarious storytelling has made him a national crowd favorite. He’s opened for Ryan Davis, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley, and Gary Owen, and his stand-up specials are available on YouTube under “Comedian Marcus Martin.” He is the consummate performer, but don’t let his charm disarm you, Marcus is a killer on the stage, and we are thrilled to book him as a headliner!

The show also features Tyrone Gaines, G.W. Nell and Hendoh, two of Northeast Ohio’s funniest working comics.

Tyrone Gaines has a smooth, yet rapid-fire delivery that eliminates the fluff and gets right to the funny. His insightful, quick-witted takes on life and relationships are what make his stand-up stand out. He's performed with some of the legends in comedy, including Charles Walden, Dominique, Kenny Howell, Tony Tone, Rodney Perry, Mike Bonner, Damon Williams and Shang Forbes.

G.W. Nell is high energy, bawdy, and self-deprecating with an act that is as obscene as it is confident. G.W. captivates crowds with her trademark vulnerability, raunchy honesty, and wild antics. She’s a member of the Females of Comedy, and has been filling rooms with laughter in multiple states for years.

Hendoh is a true Buckeye State native who brings a refreshing style of satire to the stage. His past life experiences as a combat veteran and African American parent bring an interesting perspective to the chaos of the day-to-day. Hendoh’s act highlights disparity with a disgruntlement that is multiculturally and multigenerationally relatable.

Join us on Saturday, May 2nd for a night of hilarious stand-up comedy with headliner, Bill Boronkay and feature, Nick Dlouhy!

Whether on radio, television or stage, Bill Boronkay makes an impression. One radio station, two television stations, and three major cruise lines have all fired him.

Told he'd never make it in television, Boronkay won five Emmy Awards during his sportscasting and hosting career. When his television life stalled, Bill started a career in comedy, a journey that's taken him around the world, hosting the nationally syndicated "Cruise-In" which airs on the FanDuel, Rev'n and Fun Roads networks. In 2017, Bill was selected to host the Great Lakes Region Emmy Awards, where he got to honor the people who a few years before, fired him.

Bill's been heard on Sirius/XM, ESPN Radio, Bob & Tom and various radio stations across the country.

In 2020, Dry Bar Comedy released Bill’s first stand-up special, which continues to gain views globally. He’s been seen on Comedy Dynamics, Funny or Die, featured on ComicSeen and performs everywhere from clubs, cruise ships, colleges, corporate and church events to a tour of Pennsylvania prisons (where he was heckled by a service dog.) Bill continues to do what he's learned as a childless, never-married, middle-aged man–at least until his next termination.

Nick Dlouhy is a stand-up comedian based in Cleveland. He graduated from the IO Improvisation program in Chicago and hosted at The Second City's Training Center. Nick combines self-deprecation with weirdness into an energizing act. His stand-up includes jokes about being a new dad, bullying, and scratching his mom’s back. Nick has run shows in support of our veterans (so he's a great person!) and in support of himself (a great person with material needs.) Nick has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland and clubs nationwide.

Julian is an LA-based comedian whose work has appeared on Comedy Central Digital, FuseTV, McSweeney's, Maxim Magazine. His musings about grindset mindset culture, living with OCD, and depression-eating an entire rotisserie chicken have amassed millions of views online, and–way more importantly–have made a bunch of people laugh in person. Julian has won Best of Fest at Big Pine Comedy Festival, and was officially selected for the Laugh After Dark, Laughing Skull, Bergamot, and Hell Yes Festivals. He has debuted two solo shows, Julian Stern Keeps Trying and 100 Julian Sterns Ranked By Hotness Alone, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Check out his Instagram here!

Canton Comedy Boom Presents: Kids Doing Comedy on Sunday, May 17th!

Join us for this in-person comedy extravaganza! This talented group of kids, aged 4-12, will take the stage to deliver stand-up, funny stories, and sketch comedy!

Thanks to a generous grant from ArtsinStark, we are able to offer workshops, performance showcases, and a Kids Doing Comedy Tour at local senior living facilities to continue for the next year. We couldn't be more grateful, because it will allow us to expand the program beyond what we could do alone. We are so excited to invite experienced theater, improv, and stand-up instructors to share their expertise with the next generation of comedy stars!

This is the eighth time CCB has hosted Kids Doing Comedy, and the kids have been hard at work writing new material and rehearsing new sketches in our workshops. They’re so excited to take the stage again.

Our workshops are offered at no cost to parents thanks to ArtsinStark. Live at Arcadia is an after-hours showcase hosted by Canton Comedy Boom and friends. Each week comedian Eric M. Simons works hard to book an eclectic cast of comedic talents from all over northeast Ohio and beyond!

Arcadia Grille Downtown is a long-standing establishment with a historic ambiance and an attentive staff. Kyle and Ashley will keep the kitchen and bar open during the show. The menu features classic Italian dishes including soup, salads, subs, and pastas in addition to mouthwatering chops, steaks, and salmon. Arcadia offers a full-service bar with cold beers on tap and a creative cocktail menu.

Join Canton Comedy Boom on Friday, June 19th for a night of hilarious, clean stand-up comedy with headliner, Adam Minnick!

Adam Minnick is a comedian, writer, and producer who has worked at comedy clubs across the US, and in Ireland, Australia, and Sweden. He was also featured in Nate Bargatze’s “Nateland” showcase at Zanies in Nashville, and his Dry Bar Comedy special, “Low Pay and Disrespect” reached the top ten most-watched list three months after its release.

Adam combines his act of observational humor with stories of teaching, appearances, sports, family, and his son and wife to deliver a clean, intelligent act that entertains and engages audiences of all ages. Adam’s unique view on life is due in no small part to having spent much of his youth in the small town of Napoleon, Ohio and Perth, Australia and traveling everywhere in-between.

Join Canton Comedy Boom on Friday, June 26th for a night of hilarious, clean stand-up comedy with headliner, Jeff Shaw!

Jeff Shaw is an accomplished stand-up comedian whose first Dry Bar Comedy special Manly Girly Man has garnered over 10 million views on Facebook and is currently streaming on Peacock and Comedy Dynamics. 

Jeff is a former linguist for the Army, a former staff writer for American Greetings, a former comedy club manager for Carnival Cruise Line, a former humor columnist for Cleveland's SCENE Magazine and Buffalo's Artvoice, and the author of The Fun Dude's Guide to Cruising: A Humorous Handbook for Taking Your First Cruise and Living to Complain About It.

Jeff’s reputation for destroying a room without having to put a dollar in the swear jar has made him an in-demand corporate and cruise-ship comedian.
