Join Canton Comedy Boom for our new Improv Jam at Patina Arts Centre on Saturday June 1!

We are hoping to make this a weekly improv jam but it will depend on attendance and interest. So, whether you’re an experienced improv performer or a noob looking to dip their toes in the water, help us start the next big improv boom in Canton!

What is an improv jam? It’s like an open mic but for your body and your imagination. The jam will be led by local improv troupe, Brain Fart Royale’s, Eric M Simons and will be designed to involve all skill levels. Improv is a highly creative and spontaneous art form that requires thinking on your feet and playing well with others. Improv comedy is the art of the possible–part comedy, part theater, wholly absurd fun!

Participants will use prompts to create scenes, characters, and dialogue on-the-spot. You never know what kind of magic a group of strangers can create with just a little imagination and teamwork!

These improv jams will be free of charge and will run for approximately two hours. There will be a ten person limit at each jam so sign up now to secure your spot!
