Join Canton Comedy Boom on Saturday November 1st for a Halloween party like no other! We’ve put together a great comedy variety show for you, featuring an 18+ Halloween costume contest and stand-up, sketch, and improv comedy!
Don your most creative Halloween costume and join us for a night of non-stop laughter and holiday antics! We will giveaway free tickets, merch, and gift cards to some of downtown Canton’s best bars and restaurants as prizes for the contest winners.
Leyla Ingalls will be our headliner for the evening. Leyla is a born-and-raised Ohio comedian known for her decevingly innocent demaner paired with clever joke writing and absurdist stances. She’s been taking the country by storm since performing on Kill Tony, and she has amassed a following on her socials leading to millions of views.
She’s a regular at The Attic comedy club in Columbus Ohio, FunnyBone comedy club in Dayton Ohio and Don’t Tell Comedy shows across the midwest! Leyla has opened for Joe Gatto of impractical jokers, Uncle Lazer of Kill Tony, and has hosted for the beloved Geoffrey Asmus. She has performed alongside Theo Von, Kam Patterson, and Joey Diaz.
She received the title “Rookie of the Year” for standup her first year in the game by Columbus underground in 2023. Her wholesome grin as she delivers not-so-wholesome jokes is sure to leave anyone intrigued, or as stated by Leyla’s biggest comedy inspiration, professional boxer Muhammad Ali, “float like a butterfly, zing like a bee.” She reports “I think he said that…I don’t know, I don’t watch baseball.”
Chloe Jackson will be featuring. Chloe is “really dumb but in the best way.” She is from Youngstown, Ohio but that’s not the joke. You can catch her putting together crazy variety shows through her production company, which highlights queer entertainers and helps expand safe spaces. You can also catch her sick breakdancing moves behind Sheetz most Saturday nights.
The show will also feature Halloween-themed sketch comedy written and performed by Canton Comedy Boom. And lastly, rounding out this smorgasbord of comedic stylings, we will feature improv comedy. This will be an interactive comedy experience where comedians invent hilarious characters, scenes, and games based on audience suggestions and feedback.
This show truly has something for everyone and we’d love for you to join us at our main stage in the heart of downtown Canton’s Arts District!
